Package Dired-du not visible after install ( even can't be installed again)

Hello! After fresh install of doom emacs I do M-x package-install dired-du, and it CAN be found and be installed and it works. Then I do doom sync and emacs restart. After restart dired-du command can’t be found and what’s more M-x package-install won’t show ‘dired-du’ (only dired-duplicates). Tried 3 times - even compiled emacs from git repo (ver. 28.2) - the same thing. Am I doing anything wrong?

I think I’ve found the solution: doom emacs requires defining new packages in .doom.d/packages.el - so M-x package-install and doom sync is apparently not enough to install package permanently.
