What happened?
As I understand from various sources (Allow configuring tide to avoid starting tsserver immediately · Issue #294 · ananthakumaran/tide · GitHub) it seems that tide is baked into doom emacs as a fallback when lsp isn’t there - in particular for ts/tsx files. However, it’s annoyed me for some time that the tsserver attempts to start up and slows me way down whenever I attempt to access such a file. How can I completely remove tide? I don’t use it ever.
Steps to reproduce
- Open a ts/jsx file over Tramp
- See tsserver start and fail
- Suffer
